La'Am
La'Am is Cape Cod Synagogues seniors' group and meets every
Wednesday at 11:00 in the Social Hall of the Cape Cod Synagogue. Speakers from a
wide variety of disciplines present on a topic of interest every week, followed
by a brown bag lunch. All are welcome to join in the friendship and learning of
La'Am.
For many years, La'am (Hebrew for The People), has
been regularly meeting every Wednesday with talks by the Rabbi and many
fascinating speakers from different walks of life with wonderful
stories. Interesting movies, talks by retired engineers, scientists,
politicians, physicians, artists, authors - to name a few. Everyone has
a story to tell. Sid Plotkin is the man to call if you're interested in
telling your own life story or know of someone who has a tale to tell -
humorous or serious. For the winter months while many of our members are
hibernating in Florida, we meet in the board room. Call Mr. Sid at
508-778-4752 if you can help us with a program or speaker. Anyone is old
enough to come and enjoy a wonderful hour together with very friendly
people.
