CAPTY

CAPTY (Cape Temple Youth) This is the local branch of the National Federation of Temple Youth, a Reform Jewish Community for High School students. CAPTY is led by an elected board and guided by a Youth Commission. Junior CAPTY for 6th to 8th grades is the stepping stone to CAPTY. Various programs are held throughout the year. Both CAPTY groups build friendship, leadership skills, and lifelong Reform Jewish identities

FIGHTING FIRES - ONE LEAF AT A TIME

CAPTY is asking for your help in its drive to replace some of the millions of trees that were destroyed recently in the horrific fires on Mt. Carmel. The "tree" in the social hall of the synagogue is waiting to be filled with either colorful leaves that can be purchased for $1.00 each or more ornate leaves that sell for $18.00 and pay for an entire tree. All donations collected will be sent to the Jewish National Fund Operation Carmel Renewal.

Leaves can be purchased from Hannah Driscoll, CAPTY president, in the Religious School office during school hours, or by picking up a form in the synagogue lobby and leaving it in the main office with a check made out to CAPTY.

Thank you so much for your support.

CAPTY would like express a huge amount of gratitude to the Cape Cod Synagogue community for its support of our efforts in the recent Cape Walk to End Homelessness. With the help of our synagogue members, friends and families we were able to raise more than $2000 for this worthy cause. Thank you all!

If you have pledged and not yet sent in your check, please make it out to “HAC Cape Walk” and send it to the synagogue c/o CAPTY. Or you can donate directly on the website at: http://www.firstgiving.com/capecodsynagoguecapty. If you didn’t have the chance to pledge before the walk – it’s not too late! – all contributions are most appreciated!
